At UPMC CancerCenter, we're committed to giving our patients the knowledge, inspiration, and specialty care they need to boldly face their cancer. As one of the nation's largest networks of outpatient cancer care centers, we strive to help our patients and their families in all aspects of their health and well-being.
That's why we are currently developing a partnership with Wellist, an independent company that helps patients connect to support services outside the hospital. Wellist representatives will be contacting businesses in Pittsburgh and throughout the region interested in becoming a part of this new program. They will identify reputable companies that can provide the type of services our patients seek during their cancer treatment. That might include help with transportation, grocery shopping, child care, home cleaning, meal delivery, or physical and emotional support. Through Wellist, our patients and their caregivers will then have easy access to quickly find and contract for the services they desire.
This innovative program will give us the insights, analytics, and tools needed to address the whole patient, including their non-clinical needs. We hope that you see the benefit of becoming part of this program, too, and look forward to your continuing support for our patients and their caregivers.
